Dr Thembavani did her medical schooling from PSG Medical College Coimbatore. She completed her MBA in Hospital Administration (IIM Kozhikode) and is Fellow in Critical and Emergency care.
Being from a family of doctors and bureaucrats she is a natural administrator and focuses on the personnel and quality management of the hospitals. She has also trained at one of the best neurology centres in South India.
