Dr Balamurugan has a Masters in Surgery from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and Fellowships in Minimal Access Surgery and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. He also has a Fellowship in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery from the renowned Asian Bariatrics, Ahmedabad obtainedunder the able guidance of Dr.Mahendra Narwaria.
He has presented and published many papers in International and National Conferences. He is one of the upcoming and well-respected bariatric surgeons especially known for his laparoscopic skills. His main objective is to establish a dedicated Minimal Access Surgery focussing on Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery and to create awareness among people who are suffering from Obesity. He started Indian Bariatrics with this in mind and to help people with Obesity stay on the right path of weight management.
