Dr V Sarath Chander did his undergraduation in Stanley Medical College and completed his masters in orthopaedics from Madras Medical College. After 5 years in orthopaedics & joint replacement, he did a 2-year fellowship in spine surgery at Sakra World Hospital (Indo-Japanese) – a reputed AO spine & national board accredited fellowship centre. He realized that a substantial number of patients with spine problems were under treated owing to lack of awareness and a paucity of spine specialists in the community.

His distinguishing experience is in Microscopic & Minimally invasive (key hole) spine surgeries which have now become the state-of-the-art treatment for early recovery from surgery. He is also trained in performing vertebroplasty & kyphoplasty for spinal osteoporotic fractures as day care procedures. With more than 8 years of teaching & research experience, he has many research publications in indexed and recognized journals.
