Frequently Asked Questions

General Anesthesia is a combination of medications that puts to you in a sleep state so that you are unaware of surgery and do not move or feel any pain. An anaesthetist will assess and discuss with you what is most suitable for your surgery, will explain the risks if any, and come up with a plan for post surgery pain control.
While you are under general anesthesia, an anesthesiologist and a nurse will be checking your heart rate, breathing and other vital functions regularly.
On your first visit to a pain management specialist you can expect that the doctor will ask you some questions about your symptoms. He or she will also check your past health records, medication list if any, and even prior diagnostic studies like MRI, X-ray, etc.
